ABA-512 Practicum: Function-Based Interventions
This course focuses on the practical implementation of behavior analytic techniques through structured fieldwork and self-reflection, under the supervision of a qualifying Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Students must have secured a signed supervision contract and an approved fieldwork placement prior to the start of the course. Throughout the course, students will apply behavior analytic principles in real-world settings, engage in professional practice, and refine their skills through continuous feedback and reflection. A key component of the course involves video recording the implementation of specific techniques, which will be used to critically assess and improve individual performance. In addition to fieldwork activities, students will participate in exam-focused preparation and guided discussions that emphasize professional behavior and client-centered practices.
