CRIM-313 White Collar Crime

Since its creation by criminologist Edwin Sutherland in 1940, White Collar Crime in the United States has escalated from a mere stigma, to one of the most committed, and punishable, crimes in society. This course will allow the student to gain insight into the history, definitions, categories, offenders, victims, trends, theories, policies, and societal reactions relevant to this occupational infraction, unequivocally known as White Collar crime.
