CS-684 Python & R for Data Science

This course covers advanced Python and R programming tools for complex data management, analysis, and visualization. Students will use powerful and open-source Python and R tools, including Pandas, NumPy, Git, Matplotlib, tidyr, and ggplot2, to manipulate, analyze, and visualize complex datasets. Topics include numeric and non-numeric values, arithmetic and assignment operations, arrays and data frames, special values, classes, and coercion. Students will learn to write functions, read/write files, use exceptions, measure execution times, perform sampling, correlation, and confidence analyses, plot a linear and nonlinear regression, etc. in both Python and R environment.
