NURS-550 Ethics, Human Diversity and Social Issue

Content focuses on an understanding and appreciation of Franciscan values, ethics and human diversity in health and illness. Subcultural influences on human behavior, including ethnic, racial, gender and age will be explored. Discussions of organizational ethical issues in health care as they affect aggregate communities, society and the health professions will be explored. The Project-Based learning competency for this course focuses on the development or evaluation of effective strategies for managing the ethical dilemmas inherent in patient care, the health care organization, and research.
