ENG-105 Reading Seminar

This four credit course is designed to give students with weaker backgrounds or greater difficulties in reading added skills and an exposure to readings across the curriculum. It is designed to equip students with the skills needed to become effective readers and critical thinkers. Emphasis will be placed on de-veloping the reading techniques essential for mastering the comprehension of college reading materials, acquiring a fundamental knowledge of vocabulary in various disciplines, and applying reading skills to expand proficiency in college writing. (Students are placed in this class by their Accuplacer read-ing scores). Note: A "C" is the minimum acceptable grade in this course.
