NURS-103 Academic Excellence
Academic Excellence PREBSNI- provides an introductory experience to the college-level rigors and expectations necessary for academic success and retention in the Baccalaureate Nursing Program. The course is grounded in the framework of self-regulated learning, student engagement, and growth mindset as key components of academic integration and student success. Students will begin to develop core qualities that include reflective practice, resilience, and self-discipline to promote deep and meaningful learning experiences. Content will build on this foundation to teach students invaluable lessons in critical reading, writing, and reasoning, study strategies, test-taking tips, utilizing university resources, stress management, life balance, the importance of mentoring relationships, and setting measurable goals. Students will receive practical training on personal growth, communication, emotional intelligence, and healthy living. This course is designed to equip students with skills that are inherent to success in a pre-licensure nursing program.
