OTA-150 Clinical & Professional Reasoning

Using the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework as a guide, students apply concepts such as activity analysis to the selection and grading of interventions. Students are taught the importance of clinical reasoning as a crucial component of the occupational therapy process. Aspects of clinical reasoning, including various types of reasoning, are explored through readings and reflection posts. Students explore social determinants of health and the impact on persons, groups, and populations. Lab activities provide opportunities for students to gain practical skills required for positive therapy outcomes.
