OT-612 Professional Issues
Students consider the process of ethical analysis in and the delivery of care as an occupational therapist. In addition to exploring the impact of cultural influence in daily practice, the course will challenge the students to understand their role as an OT and advocate and educate others regarding the value of OT in all facets of treatment settings. The course will also explore the development of management skills including regulatory bodies, applicable laws, reimbursement issues, supervision, continuous quality improvement as well as planning, developing, organizing and marketing skills. The student will identify both personal and professional strengths and area for growth to become an effective leader.

Successful completion of 4th semester of OT program
