CRIM-290 Correctional Institutions

This course provides an organizational view of the criminal justice system, taking a sociological and historical approach to corrections. The course looks at the system from the pers-pectives of the corrections workers as well as the offenders, incorporating recent cases with real-world relevance. Theories, concepts, and policies will be presented, as well as coverage of career options in the field.
