NURS-460 Senior Immersion

The clinical residency program consists of a series of structured learning and work experiences with nurse experts designed to assist senior level nursing students in their transition to their first professional nursing role. Clinical Residents work in structured health care setting and provide care to individual groups of patients as a fully integrated member of the health care team. Clinical Nurse Residents work one-on-one with a Registered Nurse Preceptor in executing the nursing regime. Weekly case conferences focus on topics such as prioritization, time management delegation, clinical emergencies, organization of work, documentation, physician nurse communication, and problem solving.
